The money will be directed towards repairing a medical evacuation vehicle and purchasing first aid kits for those in need.
Important Travel Changes: BRP No Longer Valid for UK Travel from June 2, 2025
A significant change in UK immigration documentation comes into effect on June 2, 2025, that will directly impact Ukrainians living in Wales and across the UK. The temporary grace period allowing the use of expired Biometric Residence Permits (BRP) for travel purposes will end on June 1, 2025.

On May 17th, Cardiff Central Library hosted a major event dedicated to Ukrainian culture, as the local Ukrainian community celebrated the national Vyshyvanka Day. We want to share more about the vibrant tapestry that made up this large-scale event, which welcomed over 400 guests. Many talented and sincere individuals, pouring their hearts and a genuine desire to share, contributed to creating its wonderful atmosphere.
On International Children’s Day, Cardiff Remembers the Missing Children of Ukraine
Cardiff Bay witnessed a moving display of solidarity on International Children’s Day as the local Ukrainian community and supporters gathered near the Roald Dahl monument to create a poignant memorial for Ukraine’s missing children. Despite facing extremely windy conditions, participants persevered to build a mountain of donated soft toys, each representing the thousands of Ukrainian children who have been forcibly separated from their families.

And when these creations are traditional Ukrainian crafts, drawing from ancient, deeply resonant roots and imbued with fresh inspiration, it quite literally gives me goosebumps.
