The Welsh Government has announced a £53,100 funding award for a new Ukraine Immigration Advice Service, running from September 2025 to July 2026. Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice Jane Hutt MS revealed that the service, delivered through partnership with Settled, will provide specialist immigration support for Ukrainians who arrived in Wales through the Homes for Ukraine programme.
At Caerphilly Library, several paintings by Ukrainian artist Olesia Miftahova hang on the walls—works she donated to thank the community that supported her family. Olesia is a mother of three who arrived in Wales last year and has since established herself as an active member of the local arts community while gaining international recognition for her work.
