The Ukrainian community in Caerphilly is inviting people to an open meeting dedicated to discussing the Welsh Government’s official response to problems faced by Ukrainian refugees.

According to Yuliia Bond, the event organizer, two important meetings were held last year, during which participants openly discussed housing problems, incidents of racism, and everyday difficulties. These discussions were part of a comprehensive study conducted by the Welsh Refugee Council, the results of which were submitted to the government.

“Now it’s time to find out what the authorities’ response was and what is planned next,” the organizers’ message states.

The open meeting will take place on April 12th at 10:00 AM at Caerphilly Library (CF83 1NX). This will be a unique opportunity for Ukrainians and other interested parties to hear official responses to the issues raised, ask their own questions to government representatives, and influence future changes in refugee support policies.

The organizers emphasize the importance of active community participation in such events, as this allows for effective representation of the Ukrainian community’s interests and contributes to improving conditions for refugees in Wales.

All interested individuals are invited to attend this important meeting.
