On Thursday, May 29, the town of Llanelli will host a vibrant community event to mark International Children’s Day 2025. The celebration will take place from 14:00 to 16:30 at the People Speak Up Arts, Health and Wellbeing Hub on Park Street (SA15 3YE), and is free and open to all ages.

Organised as a joyful, inclusive community gathering, the event promises an afternoon full of activities for children, families, and members of the wider community. Highlights include:

  • Refreshments and snacks

  • Fun and interactive entertainment

  • Information exchange stalls

  • Creative workshops

  • Street games

  • Sports and recreational activities

  • Arts and crafts sessions

This event is being organised in partnership with People Speak Up, a community hub dedicated to arts and wellbeing, along with support from local organisations and volunteers. The programme aims to bring together families of all backgrounds — including many newly arrived Ukrainians — for a shared celebration of childhood, community, and creativity.

As the Ukrainian community continues to grow across Wales, events like this offer vital moments of connection, joy, and shared experience.
