The Wales Refugee and Asylum Seeker Advocacy Forum is hosting its next session on Tuesday, 25th November, from 3-5pm, bringing together asylum seekers, refugees, and key educational professionals to discuss access to English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses and adult learning opportunities across Wales.
The forum, organised by Displaced People in Action (DPIA), provides a vital platform for asylum seekers and refugees to voice concerns about the challenges they face. Issues raised during these sessions are anonymously communicated to professionals working in the sector, driving systematic change in areas that directly impact displaced communities.
This session will feature representatives from Welsh Refugee Council, Cardiff & Vale College, REACH+, STEP, and Adult Learning Wales. Discussions will cover general information about accessing ESOL courses, with particular attention to learning opportunities for those living in remote areas of Wales, as well as flexible options for individuals who are providing childcare or currently employed.
The forum welcomes asylum seekers and refugees from all parts of Wales and will be held in a hybrid format. Participants can attend either in-person at the DPIA office on the 3rd Floor, Hastings House, Fitzalan Place, Cardiff CF24 0BL, or online via Zoom (Meeting ID: 981 4470 6138).
DPIA can assist with travel costs within Cardiff boundaries and mobile data costs for those attending the meeting. Anyone requiring financial support to participate is encouraged to contact the organisation in advance.

Форум адвокації біженців та шукачів притулку Уельсу проводить чергове засідання у вівторок, 25 листопада, з 3 до 5 вечора, збираючи разом шукачів притулку, біженців та ключових освітніх фахівців для обговорення доступу до курсів англійської мови для носіїв інших мов (ESOL) та можливостей дорослого навчання по всьому Уельсу.
Форум, організований Displaced People in Action (DPIA), надає важливу платформу для шукачів притулку та біженців, щоб висловити занепокоєння про виклики, з якими вони стикаються.
