The Wales Refugee and Asylum Seekers Advocacy Forum will host a discussion on education, employment, and volunteering opportunities on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Cardiff.

The event will take place at the DPIA Office, located on the 3rd floor of Hastings House, Fitzalan Place, Cardiff CF24 0BL, with online participation available via Zoom (Meeting ID: 985 5032 7977).

Guest speakers from the Welsh Refugee Council and South Wales Police will discuss how the new Immigration White Paper affects the possibilities for refugees and asylum seekers to access education, employment, and volunteering opportunities. The session will also cover the risks of illegal work and how to protect oneself when seeking employment, volunteering, or additional education.

The forum serves as a platform for refugees and asylum seekers in Wales to share experiences, hear from professionals, and discuss positive changes within the community.

Organizers note that this event may be particularly useful for learning more about rights, opportunities, and protection in the job market. They can assist with travel expenses to Cardiff and provide internet access if needed.
